Yo. So this is my first Polycount contest and now that the school year has for the most part come to a close I should have plenty of time to finish this.

I havent really done anything this low poly before so crits please. Right now hes at about 990 tris and I still have quite a bit of optimizing to do.

The uv map however, is going to give you some serious issues with distortion in the face. There isn't a lot of wasted space, but I do think you should rethink how the head, and likely other bits, are layed out to avoid painfull painting.
[Edit] Ok I've spoken to a few people I think I got this worked out. Although I'd still appriciate everyones input.
I like doing my work on sheet as well but the way you have it unwrapped could be fixed up a little. I wont echo what everyone else has said because I'm sure you've read it
The whole dragging the big turd around is awesome, it adds heaps of character! I initially thought it was a tail until I saw what you did with it in zBrush!

Deffinatly looking aesome though, and I love the tongue.
maybe twist the toungue and shite a bit so the model doesn't look dead on symetrical. not sure about the green horn... white mabye?
