At first let me introduce our Project:
We are working with a international team on the German Front Mod. The Idea of this modification is to show the 2nd World War with the view of a German Soldier. We show the 'other side' of the war and want to make clear that there was not only Black and White. Most of the Soldiers who had to die weren't Nazis and many did not even fight voluntarily. We tell the Story of one of this nameless "Krauts" and show the real war without great heroes and good guys defeating the evil.
In the last Year we released a several versions of our Multiplayer part for Call of Duty1 and had great success. This time we want to create the Singleplayer part for Call of Duty2.

3D MODELLER (DESIGNER)
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be able to design and implement 3d models for Call of Duty 2.
This includes character models, weapon models or props.
REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of and able to work with Maya or 3ds Max
Able to design either charactermodels, weaponry or props
Able to work in coorporative atmosphere.
This includes showing work and progress during production
OPTIONAL
Experiences with UV Mapping
Owning Maya 6.0 and be able to export models into Call of Duty 2
Animation skills are a plus
Beautiful and realistic models with low polygon use are preferred
Experience with WW2 models are preferred
TEXTURE ARTIST (SKINNER)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to create realistic to stylized, highly detailed textures for 3D models for Call of Duty 2.
This includes charactermodels, weapon models or prop models.
REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of and able to work with textures for 3d models
Able to design textures for either charactermodels, weaponry or props
Able to work in coorporative atmosphere.
This includes showing work and progress during production
OPTIONAL
Experiences with UV Mapping
LEVEL DESIGNER
RESPONSIBILITIES
Build and light realistic looking 3d levels for Call of Duty 2 based
on existing photo and movie references, concept art and instructions.
REQUIREMENTS
Able to implement game play using both map entities and script (basics).
Knowledge of the Call of Duty 2 Mod Tools including CoD2Radiant
Full understanding of gameflow and Single Player mapping
Experience with previous Q3based editors
Experience in level design (2 years minimum)
Able to work in coorporative atmosphere.

OPTIONAL
Drawing/art skills are a plus
Programming and or scripting experience are a plus
(CONCEPT-) ARTIST

RESPONSIBILITIES
Design 2d textures for 3d environments OR able to draw concept art for promotion

Able to design highly stylized, realistic and detailed 2d textures
Work with instructions or photomaterial to create new realistic textures

RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to create scripted events and sequences in and for Call of Duty 2,
in coorporation with the level design department.
REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work with both map entities and scripts for Call of Duty 2
Able to create unique and original gameplay by implementing
scripted events and / or sequences
Experience in Single Player scripting
Able to work in coorporative atmosphere.

RESEARCHER
RESPONSIBILITIES
Known with the Crete setting / environments, and/or historical knowledge of Operation Merkur 1941,
and be able to deliver reference for the development team
REQUIREMENTS
Greek and/or Crete origin
Speak and write faultless Greek
Extensive knowledge about Operation Merkur and the Crete environment
Good communication skills
Ability to work on requests
Ability to deliver sufficient and useful reference material

The Player is not a Nazi, most of the Soldiers who fight and got killed for their Fatherland had nothing to do with the nazis.
It is more likely a anti-war game, the player fights a war he can't win and the only thing he wants is to protect his family and come back home.
I think the story should start with the player being drafted to emphasize how little choice the character has.
