it's been something i've been thinking about for a while. the DS+friends code stickies can be consolidated, as well as all the "helpful tips" style stickies can all be collated into a single sticky. there should be at most 2 or 3 stickies at any given time. i think the current count is roughly 40-45.
I agree, the DS+Friends can be put in one thread called "gamer tags" or something. That way people can post all thier "handles" and other info for all the games/services. Or better yet ask that people put that info in their polycount discription?
Also is there a way to give the sticked threads a different icon?
Personally I could live with just a way to identify them from the other threads, like a custom icon, or just adding Sticky: to the front of the name of the post.
However I do think some consolidation is in order.
OK, I have made an Archive forum and started shifting some of the topics over there. I have made it so you CANNOT start new posts, but you can reply to existing ones. If you see a thread that you think deserves to be moved, please inform a mod or admin and they can decide if it needs to be moved and then move it accordingly.
Yah, I fidgeted with that for a while. I didn't want it to be at the very bottom and get lost and I wasn't real comfy with where I ended up putting it. We'll see. It may still move.
I think where it is now is fine, but maybe it'd be better if it didn't have the long-winded explanation of what it contains?
Right now it makes it seem really important because it takes up a lot of space. I dunno ... you're the man with his finger on the button
aesir: sorry man. i know as a cgchatter you'd be more comfortable if there were about 20-30 more forums, all with at least 5 sub-forums. we apologize if our layout confuses and frightens you with its straightforward and clear organization.

Just don't touch the refrence thread, or if you do send me a copy of the data before you trash it.

they won't delete the threads. they will de-sticky it. i suggest adding the threads you like to your favorites.

Just an idea, but I think it could help keep things organised without losing any info people might want.
I dont like where the forum section is. I think it would be better if we put it at the bottom where no one notices it

then again, the original ubb boards had huge-ass descriptions
