Newest Rampage not that Bad (IMO)

Picked up Rampage for the GC today, it was about what I expected. I think the reviewers slammed it because they had to play the thing for hours on end. It's honestly a lot of fun for an hour or two at a time, probably more so with friends. The controls are better with the pad than the joystick, especially if you have one of the HORI pads that mimics the SNES controller.

Started playing Silent Hunter III recently too. Great game, I almost can't believe that the kind of pick-your-poison difficulty menu it has isn't becoming more widespread.

I've got the PS2 version because I haven't seen the GC version anywhere but yes, it's nice. I'd prefer if throwing cars had more of an effect at what you hit but overall the game is leagues better than the arcade versions that are included.

Haven't played the Rampage game yet.
I've been playing SilentHunter III though. Bought that right when it came out. Insanely good.

I picked it up,

by the lack of story. I find myself playing would tour more. I'm going through files with a hex editor now trying to find codes..

World tour had cutscenes about your vengance against scum labs. This game is just.. the same looking places over and over, with no point. I just think some back history on the monsters and such would be fun. Maybe short individualized endings? It's a very dissapointing finish. Very quick to beat too. The codes dont unlock anything new really either.

rampage is what it is. it was my favorite game in the old arcades. just...total destruction. this looks like a lot of fun, worth the value, and sticks to the original idea. I'll pick it up for my cube next time i'm in a game store. don't suggest ruining it with a useless storyline. I could have fun playing this with friends.

Yeah thats me. I never said I did'nt enjoy it. They could have just expanded on that great opening scene more.

For a 20$ game I got what it was worth. Shows you how little really need to be made for a great game. Essentially you can do everything they did in a few months in dark basic.
