Please help!!! i'm new, and i need help with UT!!!

I have Unreal Tournament GOTY. I downloaded some custom skins (samus, and one that's a spider) but i don't know why they don't work. One was a UMOD and i installed it to my Unreal Tournament folder, but it wouldn't work. The others were individual files, and i extracted them to their respected folders. I went to the unrealtournament.ini and added servicepackage=whatever to all of them, but it still didn't work
