Not too sure on this myself but an X nerd told me the Khaak are so pissed because they tried to dock with a spaceship, went on board and died because they can't handle the atmosphere, the survivors thought they were being attacked and thus started a huge war.
After watching the movie I was left puzzled WTF is so interesting about it (other than the obnoxious voice of that woman and them focussing too much on the combat aspect of the game) but then again I read "cock" with a short o. It's not spelled couck after all.
