12 of the 15 Oracles have made a premonition. The remaining 3 will be in soon.
Come back next Monday to find out who will be the Final Champions and Winning Side for this Dominance War of 2006.
To all those who made it into the finals, you gave the judges a seriously hard time deciding
Cheers

Dirty tricks!
Can't wait to see the results though, there were so many amazing entries. I can deffinatly see how the judges could be having a tough time.

Congrats Vitaliy, nice work
Also a round of applause for all the fine work that the Polycounters turned out!
Very interesting reading the judges' reports, there was a real mixed bag there. Sounds like the places were really hotly contested.
And yay, 4th place! We're happy
Congrats to the winners, and all who entered!
And GOOO POLYCOUNT! Not only #1, but 3 of the top 5, too!!!
go polycount!
Good work to all involved. FreD, I've said it before, and I'll say it now. This was a huge undertaking and you did a stellar job of keeping things organized and interesting.

From running exciting challenges to rather dull challenges myself I would welcome some more war challenges even if they are petty, it would continue what has been, all in all, one of the best formulas I've seen.
And great job Mr. Rockstar. Deffinatly deserved the first.
And congratulations to all of you (9/10 people didn't even get their entry finished), but especially mr Rockstar. Awesome work : )
I'm just glad mine got mentioned, however briefly
To the organizers: great work. It was really awesome everything you guys put into this to make it happen.
As much as I enjoy the idea of a thunderdome style competition where its 1v1, we would have the problems of: only about 1 in 4 people finish, if that, and if we're going to do elimination by rounds until we get to a final round, we'd end up making about 5 or 6 finished models, which frankly takes quite a long time. The only way I could see that working is if each model was only a low res low polycount model/prop and therefore much easier to make.
...
...
actually, now that Im thinking about that a bit more, that might work. Lets say we have 120 contestants. For the first round we'd have everyone make something really easy like a crate or a box. Nothing tough. Half get eliminated. Next object is maybe a weapon or something. Andother half gone. Next is a super low res character. etc and etc.
so yea.. I'd be game.
So in this respect, I will take a big brawl over a one on one any day.

The way I'd work it is that each winning model would score a point for the team which would then determine the overall conquering team. This would give greater incentive for people to actually get their models completed as failing to finish would be letting down the team. It would also give more meaning to the winning team as its the whole crew working towards the goal instead of just one awesome champion.
