I'm liking what I am seeing, it makes me all nostalgic about a decade ago when I first played Tomb Raider.
The one odd thing I saw is the side-by-side vids between PS2 and XBOX 360, it looks like they might've upped the shader quality and textures, but otherwise, same geometry all around. Though this game lends itself to a gamepad control mechanic, methinks I'll go for the cheaper PC version.
I'll probably grab it for PC. I have to use my USB controller though. I couldn't imagine playing a Tomb Raider game with a keyboard and mouse... it just seems wrong.
I play it on pc with a bad card, , playing with bad GFX but in every new zones I turn on the next gen gfx and sweett.... , all the arqueological zones are cool,is equal to tombraider1 but new gfx and some new tool for not to lose to us in the exploration of worlds, in the cinematics in real time have the same system of RE4,when you choose some buttons for not to die ...
I downloaded the demo on my 360. Seems pretty neat so far, though I only played 5 minutes or so. Ive just loaned out my TV for a few days though, so deeper impressions will have to wait.
Having played all of the previous tombraiders and loving them apart for AOD, this really was a big let down. Graphically very nice, but controls are awful and the gameplay and puzzles non existent.
Ths game defines the word LINEAR. Might as well have put up signs saying 'please go here'. oh they did.
Check out the side of laras head also, she has a grey texture bleed. That would have taken 5 mins to fix.
Ther is also a really bizarre looking animation when she changes dierection. Her left leg moves past her other leg sideways.WTF
Nah this is not tombraider but a mish mash of prince of persia type stuff.
The TR formula was always simple , less enemies , more puzzles and vast exciting environments.
I seem to be stuck a vast interactive movie with this latest game

Wasn't Tomb Raider always a lot like Prince of Persia except maybe with less deadly traps?
