I believe it was the demanding and somewhat annoying manner you posted that got people annoyed with you more than your age. I doubt anyone is going to object that much if you stick around and actually try to learn about game art.
Exactly, everyone makes mistakes. Stick arround and lurk for a while untill you learn what kind of posts to make. If you ask the right questions in the right way you will get answers. Just remember, this is an artists forum, not a game modding forum. If you want game related stuff do a google search for the game in question and you will find countless sites dedicated to moding and model creation for whatever game you searched. Look at http://planetquake.gamespy.com for quake related stuff, if you can't find what you want there then they will probably be able to tell you where you can.
