Intro:
We, the team of
QuakeRemix are looking for help. The project has come to a halt since most former team members aren't active anymore. We are currently putting a new, active team together, to get this show on the road.
The Mod:
We are planning to remake the original Quake. We will stick to the original layout of the maps, although they will be rescaled to fit Doom 3. The interior however, will be made from scratch and updated to current day standards. Meaning that it will look completely different while maintaining the original Quake look and feel. As of yet, the focus of the mod lies on SP. But we are also planning a MP version for Quake 4.
However, we are not starting from scratch. So, I posted some shots below to illustrate what has already been done:
What we need:
Having said that, it stands for itself that we are looking for very active members that want to see this project come to live. We could use some people for the following things:
Animators: Get stuff moving and make it behave intelligent
Modellers: Map models, weapons, items, etc
Texture Artists: Your in charge of making textures that resemble the original ones. Also, you can make whatever you feel fits the theme.
Mappers: Remaking the original maps as you see fit, with only the original layout as your boundary.
Coders: Hud, weapons, engine tweaks and most importantly, astonishing looking water that behaves realisticly.
What we offer:
No deadline. It's done when it's done. We just ask commitment and activity.
Your free to do a lot or a little. Whatever fits your schedule!
You can do whatever you want with your stuff. Your free to release it, port it to other games, etc. So your not constrained to only having your work displayed in the mod. Has to be discussed beforehand, but in no way will we restrict you!
Get your name out there, draw attention to your portofolio and be featured all over the web.
A chance to work in a talented team, learn a thing or two from others and improve your skills!
