The game is great, love playing it. But, I am really sick of going into any Best Buy store and seeing people sitting on those legless chairs playing this.
I converted another two Guitar Hero virgins into nymphos over the weekend. After an hour of play, they were instantly hooked and couldn't wait for tomorrow so that the stores would open and they could go buy it.
I've never seen a game have this much instant appeal. It's always a fight to get my friends to play something new, but Guitar Hero has been the lone exception.
i just bought it recently and i love it. only problem is i cant get my girlfriend off the ps2 cause she is absorbed into dragon quest VIII and i might get a 3 song session in every evening if i am lucky. poop came over saturday and shredded some, it was good fun.
i bought it in time for when my younger brother came home for spring break, and we had a blast. i even got one a cherry-red controller for the second one... my little brother kicked my ass pretty thoroughly, but the game's so much fun i barely minded.
it is one of those games that has true breakout appeal--you can take just about anyone (even GIRLS) who don't play videogames and get them to play rather enthusiastically. highly recommended, even required playing.
jeffro: seriously. it is IMPOSSIBLE to rock sitting down. unless they come out with Acoustic Guitar LameAss, you gots to stand up when you play it!
Yeah, I agree Gauss. Which is why I don't really understand why Best Buy has those non-chair chairs for people to play it in. They should just put the guitars on the floor. The game is really outstanding though. I have a feeling that the sequel is going to be great at E3.
I play sitting down, actually. Well sort of... I usually have my feet propped up on something to make holding the guitar a bit more comfortable.
But I'm seriously hooked. I gotta try and get some of my friends to play it, as I'm sure they'll like it as well.
For be, the greatest appeal is the music. They did a good job selecting the music. Though, I honestly would have prefered something else over Sum41's song.
I'd like to see some good melodic death metal tracks in the sequel.
'As Eurogamer reports, MCV was recently told by CEO Kelly Sumner that between now and mid-2007, we can expect between "five or six" titles.'
'"We're working on Guitar Hero 2, which will have 40-plus new tracks," he says. Those wanting on genre-specific versions of Guitar Hero for Metal and Country Rock are in luck as well - he confirmed those too.'
We're having a hell of a time trying to get a PAL version at work. Theres some annoying power conversion issues with the NTSC one so that the sound drops out, goes out of sync or distorts while playing. Doesn't stop us thrashing the thing though.

And how many of you have sore wrists?

if i had a sleevless jean jacket, i could pass for axel steel.
I'm really digging it, but is it really appropriate to smash your guitar after finishing "More Than a Feeling"?
