Thought I'd better move
that thing across as it dosen't really belong to the comp anymore.

Had to hack my way to the mechanical bits with lots of extra cuts since the viewer doesnt support alphas...
Time for gums texturing, fabric, and hair!

Just the normalmap of the teeth in the last picture looks a bit too disorted, but otherwise really nice work.

i will cry!
It's funny how I gradually disliked my concept a bit more everyday during the comp, and now that it's over I enjoy working on that mere bust so much more
Warby, completely agree. I'm filling in with some more small scale details and surface atm, like fur, leater, pinned medals aso.
Thnom, trying to just do that with that hairstyle. tricky tho.
JK, yeah I'm getting some nasty distortion on that area, my fault in trying to capture complex shapes with just lowpoly quads
Okay! Some more.
Ditched the dark background, but forgot to ramp up the lighting, sorry for the daaaaark screenshots :O
I'm kindof stuck at this stage for the hair as the viewer won't support alphas nor harsh pixelated masking. Guess I'm going to switch to work on facial expressions instead. I also need to adjust the inner mechanical head so that it fits inside the flechy bits much better...
Have you guys some experience with normalmapped hair? Mine is looking very shiney quite fast. I believe than successful nextgen hair are done using specific shaders/volumetric processes (ala mgs4) rather than classic geo. Any thoughts?
CRITICS :
the hair seems unbalanced, she has a mature head but the hair seems like a 20 years old one , her face seems too slim from the eyes to bottom , might be camera angle thou:P
P.s- tht leather material is top knotch , i believe its thanks to specular map/normal right ? could you show us more detail?
All with bones. No clue if upcoming engines like UE3 will support morphtargets hence I used a classic bone setup as a training, no stretchy bones or fancy tricks. Still a lot of things I can't get right yet tho... Any info and advice on facial setups is appreciated!
Still wiring/dummy lookats to setup as it's just plain old manual bone control atm.
Prosit!
side note : I like the lighting/specular on the third one ( the one in the middle at the very right of your pic)
I like your leather too .
[checks IMDB/IRC] - A.I.
Jude Law in it
He looks like soviet soldier
