Character Artist
Job Summary
Several positions available for talented Character Artists with an exceptional understanding of the human form and proportions with the skills necessary to create bold characters in 3D.
Job Skills Required:
· Expert knowledge in modeling, texturing, and rigging all types of characters efficiently and cleanly.
· Expert understanding of 3DS Max (preferred) or Maya, as well as Adobe Photoshop.
· Must have the ability to translate 2D concepts and designs into quality 3D characters.
· Must be highly organized, have a solid work ethic, and work well in a team environment.
· Must be able to follow established procedures and conventions set out by the Art Lead and meet deadlines on time.
Job Qualification:
· Must have 4+ yrs of experience in game development, at least 2 yrs. of which were in creating character assets.
· Must have made a significant contribution to character modeling, texturing, and rigging of at least 1 shipped title in the last 2 yrs.
Additional Skills:
· Knowledge of scripting in Maxscript.
· Strong interpersonal skills.
· Professional presentation and attitude.
· Incredibly high creative intensity.
· Solid background in traditional arts.
· Love of gaming.
