Hiya guys,

Lately I started with some womanly characters.
This one here (Dominique) is max 4000 of my 4000 face-limit
Now it looks a little bit static.
I'm already working on the facial expression + biped to make her come to life.
I always use bones, bones and bones.
It's been a long time that I used the biped.
Anyway here's a WIP of mine.

    i like the construction ! but theres something off with the breasts and face, they seem to wide and flat...
    is it 4000 faces ? i presume that its 4000 tris.

    yeah I thought too that the breast where little bit too wide.
    Hmm the face is too flat?

    Well maybe there is "something" with the face.
    Hey I wonder what's the most propiate way of making hair for characters of 4000-9000 tris?
    I have used some ways to make hair for game characters, but
    well It's just not like for instance Sora from Kingdom hearts. But I think there are lots of faces in it.

    PS I changed it already from faces to tris :P little mistake sigh

    you have some edges running beside the nose you can probably get rid of. I like this. Get her textured asap. I'd bring the edge running over the top of the breasts down a notch, give her some weight.

    The face doesn't look too flat to me... Just looks like she's native american or hawaiian.

    yeah thought so. too much edges running around the nose.
    and the funny thing is that I went a little bit too fast.
    I already made 20 morphers for the face and begun with
    the bones. I can only move, faces,verts etc.

    well anyway thanx for this critique because I was doubting
    about the nose too. but now someone finally said it, the
    next time I will do that better.

    First I must complete the biped.
    This is my priority since I have to do some animation tests
    in virtools with it.(sort of practice)
    After that I will texture it right away laugh.gif

    Hi guys.

    Sorry things take so long.
    It's because I have many other things to do (like making a new portfolio website), or else I get
    troubles as a gamedesigner apprentice.

    Anyway I just started with making textures. also the model is almost ready for animation.
    here's the update for so far.
    crits are welcome ofcourse.
    If ya guys know better ways of texturing cloth/skin parts
    then tell me. It's all handpainted sofar

    That jacket's got some mad support ^^

    I would suggest showing the middle of a bra instead of leaving her bare in the middle. Would allow for some "boob boost" and add a unique element. She'd be flopping all over the place this way... which is not sexy... and not easy to rig

    yeah well I already made something in the middel haha.
    this is my next update for now.

    I will give the white shirt some cool detail on the top
    and offcourse the jacket will be more defined in the
    future.
    Maybe the belt will get another color.
    I will hold that open for now.

    Im not sure if Im missing something here but whats the deal with that dark spot on her face? It seems like the texture is coming along. I dont like the opening on her crouch area because I dont understand what its function is. again I might be misssing something here. IS this some kind of biker chick? overall nice progress keep it up.

    aha I understand what ya mean.
    well the face isnt done so the dark spot will become lighter.
    I thought about doing someting else with the knees.
    So I made some kneecaps, but then with a logo on it.
    Personally I don't think these kneecaps makes the "whole"
    inconsistent.
    I'll keep it in the back of my mind. So when the model is
    almost fully textured, then I will change the kneecaps
    into some other kind of kneecaps, just to
    look if it's better.
    Dominique is not a bikergirl. She's more of a streetgirl.
    That's also what I wanted.

    here's a little update.
    -I made the skin on the face lighter.
    -the logo little bit less noticable
    -and well define textures better.

    the hair is definetly not done and I will rework the pants.

    I really don't get the hole in the crotch area either, is that just so people can see her underwear ? I'm not against "sexy" clothing at all, but this has to have a purpose, plus I don't find this sexy at all, just...useless

    the flesh really would need some color variations aswell, put some blue, red and yellow into this.

    her fingers seems too short or too wide, can't really tell from that angle.

    i wasnt talking about the kneepads, i was asking about the hole in the crouch, its just not making sense. dont get the wrong idea, im not offended by it. Im just trying to make sense of it

    ah yeah well I tried something different that just a normal pants. And it's not meant to make her more sexy.
    It's to make it different for one time.
    And btw I have seen this also on some comboy/girl. The only diferrence is that there is a little bit of flesh open.
    It doesnt really have a specific function, but there might be enough clothing without a real function. It's more
    meant as design

    the same models but all with a different crouch area.

    ok well I can't find a good hairbrush for my hair so my hair is like this for now. I had one very good brush set but
    my own computer's broken so I work on a computer with nothing special on it.

    I did gave the skin more detail but somehow it doesnt really
    have much effect. Maybe i'm too carefull about not screwing
    the skin up.

    Now I'm gonna make something for the crouch. to make it
    "sexier". If there's now something (besides the crouch area)
    on my model that needs to get lots of attention then feel free to say where.

    PS. If someone knows a good hair brush for straight hair lines then please tell me smile.gif
