What people don't realize is there is more to it than just holding it to the floor. I guess it's easier to criticize than to give it a chance though (that last statement isn't directed at you Weiser). It's irritating to hear that statement whenever you enjoy NASCAR. It's like me telling people that like basketball, that it's just guys running up and down a court. What qualifies that as a sport?
i like the idea of both nascar and ice hockey ... i say "idea" cos i've never seen either for real. Intended going to see some hockey when i'm over there in may, but the bloody NHL looks like it ends it's season in April. Are there any other leagues with longer or different seasons?
There should be Ice Hockey in your area... at least I thought there was. A guy I IM with in Germany is hooked on Ice Hockey in Europe. The overall experience is a little different (the way the interact with the crowd), but the basics are there
I think the crowd that rules ice hockey is always going to be the ones who live in the coldest freaking weather. Just wait till Antarctica gets enough people for a team!

Canada really wasnt ready.. I think it's really showing how North American players and coaches are having serious trouble adjusting to the new style of play at NHL which is similar to the euro style, combine that with bigger euro rinks and the old veterans are having serious trouble.
In that respect i really feel bad for Canada, they seemed to have made some serious mistakes with their olympic team picks and the lockout and new nhl regulations really didnt help either ..
