I know, I'm very late entering. But I'll try my best to get something done for this. Here's my concept for now.



I'll try coloring it tomorrow and getting the model done by the end of the week. Unless I come up with a better concept before then...

haha, fun concept, I love his face, and the pipe is a great touch.
I think maybe his mode of conveyance needs some extra design love (seems a little bland right now) but it's a great start!
look forward to seeing more

Yeah, I spent a while on his tri-cycle erasing and redrawing and I'm still not really satisfied with it. I'll make it more interesting when I model it.

BTW MoP do you ever sleep or check out any other websites? Damn dude...

Argh I can't sleep now! Very, very rough sketch of a redesign for his tricycle. I like this a lot better except I want to exagerate it even more when I model it.

Still a little ways to go but I'm almost done modelling him. Still have to figure out how to connect him directly to his "big wheel" and model the back end of it. I'm at 4176 tris right now so I should have plenty to finish him and add in a few more details. After I have him fully modelled then I'll weld the halves and add in some asymmetry and make his expression more like the concept

you could turn his leg-stubs into the Y-bar for the front wheel, or just make each stub into an axle for the back two.

I want to see him drag-race Cholden's walrus.

I'm kinda' thinking that where it all comes together at his leg stubs it'll be some sort of suspension system that would work for either the front or the rear tires. Where it could fold and pivot in the middle to absorb any shock. And I want to model the rear assembly to have individual suspension systems as well. I have a hazy idea in my head of how I want to do it, just getting it out is hard.

hehe, great start! maybe sharpen up the area under his upper eyelid with a little darker colour, just to stop the eyeball blurring into that part so much?

I reckon if you have this much now you can probably throw something together by monday evening.

Not looking like I'm going to make the deadline. =/ We're throwing a birthday party today for my gf's baby and I cleaned a lot yesterday so I haven't gotten near as much done as I wanted to. But I felt like updating at least. I will eventually finish this model if I don't make the deadline.
