its a matter of time till game developing gets the same skill as movie one .. and we play half life 3 on a cell phone or on our watch...things are getting absorduly evolved.
Considering windows mobile 5.0 has managed DirectX it's not a too much of a strech to imagine we might be seeing this sooner than later. I kinda wonder how battery drain is going to be though.
well i dont exactly agree with that .. i think it's a natural evolution of mobile technology .. i do think that many of the features are in fact completely useless .. however things like bluetooth and camera are pretty useful things to have around ..
you cant exactly carry around your digital camera every time you go out .. and you need the flexibility of bluetooth if you have a laptop .. or need a wireless headset..
i am all for functionality but i just recently aquired a motorola ROKR, and it serves it's purpose well, it's gui is customizable, it has bluetooth, got a 512mb memory card to store photos and mp3's and a 0.3 mp camera with a flash ..
now i dont own an ipod and my camera is pretty bulky of a thing so this mobile phone really brings the best of all 3 worlds, without sacrificing ergonomics and communication quality..
I'm in the market for a new phone, and I've narrowed it down to one model on vodafone. All my mates are on vodafone so the free airtime contract is a really good deal, talk forever for free!
The model I'm getting had to be cabable of several things:
QR code input
3G
3.2 megapixel camera
Flash Player
Java 3d
Bluetooth.
sd card / mp3 playback
there was a similar model for 0yen but without the QR code thing. The other models in vodafones line up can't run flash.
Unless my phone can walk my dog or change TV channels, or something else extremely useful, I don't see the point in having anything more than a phone to call people. Then again I hit my fiance with a club and drag her back to my cave by her hair, sooooo.....
