Holy hell, sure it took this long to join the battle... I recruited a little help for this one though... me and Cots are fightin' for the green and blue. He'll be doing the design work and I'll be on modeling\texturing...
Here're the first few preliminary sketches Andy did featuring a tiny commander crab piloting a giant mechanical crab...???

I like the first page, the one on the left of the page, although minus the claws. Its the most original and the most interesting. I'd like to see you flesh that out and play with different ideas using similar designs

or do whatever!

Guass, Spark and Bobo ...thanks guys, Andy's gotta be one of my favorite concept artists ever so it's a lot of fun to be working on something with him... Crow did a concept too but he's pretty shy about the boards, you should drop him a line... aesir you turncoat get out of my thread and never come back!!! ...Just Kidding, I think that concept is probably the closest to what Andy had in mind...This is what came of it so now it's my turn to get modelin'... yikes, 2 weeks left...

thats a pretty damn cool crab dudeman... only thing i'm seeing is there aren't alot of different materials on this guy, or just different colors, oh well i'm sure it'll be cool, can't wait to see the model.

Love it! So long as he stays under water, I dont think the claw-feet / weight factor will be too big a deal. But rusting on the other hand...

V- yeah I think the colors are pretty similar but I'm hoping that the material treatments will give it the variety it needs... The shells I'm treating like painted metal and then he has the transparent hoses and the gooey
organic blown apart arm...we'll see how it works out...
[Miles] and Rooster... hehe yeah I see him as moving around underwater too...I think if I can get to it we'll add fish floating around him as part of the base...
anyways..been modeling like mad, here's an update..
