Don't drag down your work! A little early to be fully judging it but what you have looks fine. You might find modeling a little easier on the eye working in untriangulated meshes. The lower leg feels a little puny in side view. Is that a seam there between legs and torso in your sketch?
Hey, it looks good to me so far, especially like the arms. Don't worry about it. Guess the S curve of the spine looks a little over exaggerated, but it could just be me. Edit: Nevermind, looking in the wrong place. Looks great so far!

yeah i converted it to a editable mesh and forgot converting it to editable poly again
and yes.. that is a seam *embarresed*
Small update:
next gonna finish feet, hand and head. than the hardest part.. strategically adding polys for alpha furryness
oh yeah about those legs, your prolly right, they look kinda small.. hmm ill experiment a bit, thnx allot for the crits
it seems to me that the chest comes out too steeply. try flattening it out toward the front, give it the beef that the Lychans (sp?) had in the film. broaden the shoulders quite a bit, bring the collar bone out. make him look big and menacing.
There are people who can help a lot better than I with the technical stuff, however, for the hunch I'd say yes. I believe that wolves in general have a bit of a hump.
I'm not entirely positive though. I'd suggest googling wolves and finding as many pictures of them as you can. Use all the characteristics you can from those pictures.
I had to produce wolfman model sheets for an animated project way back and I found the easiest way to do the legs was to treat them mostly as human. You could sketch human legs in a crouch position to get the hips, then extend the toes as you have them there, bulking out the calves and feet. Shame I can't share my model sheets...copyright and all that.
No problem.. Once the head is on, try getting a hunched look to it, to emphasise that man-beast thang. If that's what you're after. I found "An American Werewolf In London" and "The Howling (1)" to be great references.
Shoulders can be finicky. It can help to put in a test rig to see where you need to add edge loops.
I'd recommend bringing the shoulders in a little more towards the neck, when you lift your shoulders they form a little indent there. You could also use some of those torso edges to push the shape of the ribcage a little more. Take my words with a grain of salt, I have a hard time with creatively departing from reference material.
started working on him again ^^
Thanks allot Gmanx for the drawing. It was an excellent reference while making the head.. Anyone got suggestions for alphamaps?
yep, i dont want him to be naked muscle bound.. well actually i do but i wanna place a few stragetically placed alphamaps. Thing is im not good at it .
thats about texturing the hair/alphaplane, i mean the actual planes. where to put em.. geuss i gotta look where the werewolf is hairy.. i want him hairy but i want the muscles to be seen, maybe a few at his head, pelvis, legs..?
Just toss in the planes exactly where you want the hair. I'd suggest placing them where you would on a hairy person (chest, forearms, thighs, etc), much like that side view 2nd ref image you posted. I'd make a quick alpha of some hair (simple flat color) and test it placed around the body using it to enhance profile and fill out the fuzz like you want. Then move on to making it more detailed and as customized as you want with the final uvs.
Look at the silhouette, and put alpha planes where you want 'hairy edges' to be visible - like the elbows, knees etc. Maybe give him a bit of a lion's mane, with rings of alpha'd polies around his neck and shoulders.
hmm yeah thanks, those will help allot!
k, first im gonna uvwmap this guy, than add planes using those as refs.. Thnx allot.. 1 more thing.. how did u get those o.O I searched and searched but apperently not hard nuff

I used to work in the comic book induustry, so I have a pro badge for The San Diiego Comic-con. It's the biggest celebration of Pop Culture on the planet, A deler's room two footbal fields wide, and a quarter of a mile long. (and growing) I've been attending since 1988, and I tend to bring a camera, 2004 I snapped thesuits from "Dog Soldiers" as the company there was promoting their DVD's. and in2005, They were hyping Underworld Evolution, and had a full size Maquette, of the beasties. So I took the Photos myself with the thought of doing a model of aither of them. You should see my shots of the Bat Mobile from last year's E3. :-) I take reference pictures of just about everything that I find interesting.

brought out the collar bone, scaled his shoulders, upper body quite allot.
[edit] i just compared both pics it looks better with them broad shoulders. Think i should give him a hunchback?

@Gmanx: a draw-over could give me an idea of what you mean?
not really an update, just a semi-beauty render
