I think these CGChat lowlife's need to be taught a lesson. Class is Pain101, instructor's caseyjones!
(for all the TMNT fans)

Well, I definately want to get involved in this war, I just seem to be having a bit of a hard time coming up with some decent concept art (as my ability to draw is somewhat average). I know what I have in mind so I'll lay down some of my ideas and let me know what you think. All ideas and crits welcome.

Basically I want to make a big mean bad ass mofo (I'm sure we all want to make one), but where to start?
Well, I have a few things in my head of how I want this thing to look just cant get it down on paper. If we are making generals, then my guy has to have lived out some serious combat, a few scars on his face, getting some grey hair, wrinkles, but still has a face that'd make you poop your undies!
ARMOUR, ARMOUR and more ARMOUR! This guy loves close combat, none of this sniper bullshit, picking dudes off from a distance. He's in with the grunts to keep morale high, to lead his men to victory. What would this armour look like you ask? CHUNKY! Nothing too over the top to restrict movement entirely (pretty vague... I know, told you I was having a hard time coming up with stuff).
Weapon... I was thinking either a huge bastard sword or a monsterous war hammer for the close combat, as well as some kind of built in cannon sitting on the shoulder (think Predator) to wipe out a few dudes from a distance when needed.
I wanted to add a short cape/cloth coming off one shoulder to mark his high rank.

I have the entire day free tomorrow, so I'll be at the sketchbook all day until I come up with something.

    Well here's a quick sketch I did in about 5-10mins. It's not super great, nor is it very clear. But it's something for now so people can see the general idea im headed in. Just click the thumbnail for a larger version.

    All crits welcome, anyone want to give this concept a rework (*cough* Ninjas! *cough* From what I've seen, you're able to turn a scribble on a page into a conceptual masterpiece), please... FEEL FREE!

    Good to see that you've finally posted something dude...Don't worry if the conept isn't too polished, so long as it has all your main design ideas. If you want any anatomical ref just ask I have heaps.

    I like the shape of your boots. I'd say they could be even more exaggerated as being a large tapered tube shape. Just klomping and thwomping down the battlefield.

    Xenobond: As for the boots, its the only part of the concept that I actually like. But will exaggerate them a bit more and add heaps of detailing.

    Well, I made my official start on the modelling, its not much to look at yet, but its a start all the same. Just did some basic blocking out, then started some shaping of the boots.
    Once I get the basic shape and proportions right, I'll go back to some more sketching to flush out the armour to look the way I'd like.
    Once again, if anyone would like to give this dude a go to polish it up a bit, or re-work it entirely. By all means!

    Well, after a good while of re-sketching, brainstorming and just not getting anywhere. I've finally found someone to help me out and flesh out this character to its bad ass potential.
    Tonight we'll be having a massive brainstorming session and he'll be doing a concept for me which ill post as soon as its done. Once we are both happy with the design, we'll get some model sheets done and modelling full throttle all the way.
