Been thinking about this since it started, doodling during meetings at work... still don't have a finished-out concept, but I had to post before bed tonight.

This is Brigadier Tisifon, field commandant of the First Infiltration and Assassination Unit. Her suit is an active-camouflage system with integrated thermal signature compensators. The reflective helmet with its infamous lip-logo carries peripheral expansion optics, and the hanging cords are broadwave ambient sensors. If you don't feel the impact of a 15mm slug from her hyperaccelerated anti-materiel weapon, you may find that after she strikes at you with the monomolecular blade of her kukhri, you shake your head in disbelief... and your head falls from your cleanly severed neck.

I like a lot the head. I´d put out the lips to make her more scary but if you find a cool way to merge them with the reflective mask then it can en up looking really good.
Also, i´d prefer to see some anormalities on her body, you know, not the perfect girl. Do not know if there are fitness monitors on the 3006, but he seems to be taking some serious lessons on the butt-machine :P

Very cool man! keep it up!

Thanks for the good vibes, gentlemen.

Gauss, you have color ideas? Bring 'em, because I have no idea other than black. The suit has a texture of faintly shiny checkered scales, with dark seams.

Jhotun, I agree about the imperfection. The helmet is not just for protection or vision enhancement. The lips are a painted-on iconic shape that is supposed to seem out of place. That's part of the backstory.

The Brigadier used to be quite a beauty, you see, back a dozen years. Her lips were her trademark, cupid's-bow full and red like arterial blood. Then she was in the action at Khaim-de-Nnahj, caught by a thermo-incendiary mortar round while wearing her combat armor-- sans helmet faceplate. Her pretty face was scorched clean off, and the flesh fused with the bone into a kind of keloid scarification that is notorious for resisting grafts. Some even say that her lower jaw was burned to a blackened twig, but that is unconfirmed. The only man who has seen her without some kind of mask recently was a handsome junior officer invited to the Brigadier's private quarters, but afterwards the Psychiatric Unit specialists wouldn't allow him to make any statements.

Maybe I'll learn to paint while I'm working on this. (doubt it)

Okay, half-assedness abounds, as usual. But I still like the character, which is so important. Did I mention the monomoleclar blades? smile.gif

On to the model sheet for this one.

Meh, she definatly looks similar to mine, but I like your's better. We'll just call it coincidence and no hard feelings. Looks like something that is actually workable in zbrush, unlike my mechanical version. I like the knives, wish I'd thought of that.

He's sort of reinspired me to redesign my character. Since my current model is unusable and I need to start again with sub-d's (as I've decided) I think I ought to fix her up a bit before I start.

Makkon: You go, dude! Glad I threw you some inspiration. I don't think I will get any normal mapping on this, since it would be my first time out. I'm inexperienced as it is without trying to break new ground. Maybe after the war (uh, contest) is over.

    Asthane: ...

Sectaurs: Thanks. Monomolecular, yes. The sharpest. A paper-thin blade as hard as vanadium steel, slices through tissue and bone with equal ease. Terrifying.
