New recruit ready to bleed.....

Ok here's a quick biro sketch of the basic character before the tech is added. Waist down will be fairly heavily armoured with some arse kicking boots. Also have a large booster pack embedded into his back. Fairly chunk-a-fied hand cannon for his left arm too.

Oooooo! Nice start on your concept there. I'm especially liking the segmented right arm and unique chin "extensions." You might want to consider giving the final version some additional clothing. I've been getting the feeling that this premise is leaning heavily toward formal military command. It might be nice to give him something that could have insignia attached to it. Although I suppose you could just have some chevrons tattoed on his arm....

Here's a quick brainfart I did before working on the ortho's for my guy. The image quality is a bit shit as my scanner is stuffed so I used a digi cam.

If anyone wants to build this guy they're more than welcome..

side image and weapon....I think the final model will be a bit chunkier and brutal than this image suggests. I seem to get a bit anal with ortho's and can loose some of the impact of quick ink sketches.

And yeah Richard the final version won't look so naked on the upper body as he'll have bits of tech and machinery merging with his chest. Probably represent his rank with either branding/scorched flesh or with a some metal gouged into his shoulder.

I´m liking a lot the second one. There are some good lines there. Those claws are going to have a lot of fun with some metal chchatters. I´d have gone over that concept if i had not had one.

The fat bastard guy seems pretty solid to me. Can´t wait to see that metal mutant hand fully textured yummm!

He looks badass so far dude. Kind of reminds me of a strogg but its more like the flesh being is in control. I'm looking forward to seeing more concepts or a model.

I was wondering. Is anyone using that second concept for their general? I need a good concept for my general and I really love that concept. Would you allow me to use it? (I've asked Gauss to do a concept for me but I feel he would be happy go get some work taken off his plate )

Haha, looking cool, nice and beefy.
If I were you I'd take some polys out of the forehead (you have a lot going up to the top of the head which aren't really doing anything) and you could use them to round out his biceps or boots or something.

I've got a job interview this tuesday...(yay)...which unfortunately means I'm currently polishing up my folio. I doubt very much that I'll be able to finish this guy. He's fully unwrapped just waiting for some paint, so I might just throw something together. Really sucks, but empolyment comes first.
