basically
- big upper body, small lower body.
- big fore-arms, thin upper arms.
- capes and other decoration earned from battles.
- i'll probably implement a shield on one of the arms and implement or hold a weapon on the other.
we definitely need more robot generals on our team. i mean really, can you ever have enough robots? (THE ANSWER IS NO). i think working up the forearms would be good to move this guy away from the inevitable comparisons to a WH40k space marine dreadnaught, but otherwise i really think you've got a good basis to start with. love the cape. oh, and some sort of interesting head or face would give him a stronger visual focal point. let's see it happen! i'm a little sore at you for not finishing up that model based off the Burham cycle, but i'll forgive you if you get this entry finished
I'll definately finish the bike(probably before getting started on this), the texture is 2/3 done. bah, i just google'd the WH40k dreadnought and see what you mean, gotta play with it
eh, i played around with it a little, went with the scavenger idea. he's the scavenger king! general to all the second wave forces that do all the nasty cleanup/killing off the dying. he's found some collectables through this occupation:
the legs definately have a clunky construstion about them. i imagine they would move like an 8-bit run, if you follow, or a slow wobble like the egg-shaped aliens in the 5th element (i hated those things) i should say, i do appreciate the concept for it's unique approach.
haahahaha yes, definitely an 8-bit run is what he would have. he's the scavenger king... like a vulture, or the lowest rung of the social ladder in medieval societies that would pick through the bodies for valuables. the scavenger king and his force aren't quite so much of a clean-up crew as that, but definitely a rear-guard action, more about mopping up remnants artfully than true front-line action. so you can imagine him swiveling his head around on a futuristic battlefield littered with the dead and dying, and then a slow loping gait (often stepping on the dead and dying) when he suddenly stabs someone and then takes his watch.
hey, whatever you do with it afterwards is your business, not mine, you are of course free to do so. but i must caution that any modifications will void the warranty
blah...I wont be able to submit my entry . About 2 weeks ago I had to format my comp because it was locking up while booting but after a clean install of windows it was acting up; programs would install incomplete, errors after installing, junk. So after another format last week it was still being flaky. My comp officially crapped out on friday and I'm ordering a new one today my comp was awesome... 4 years ago
I did save some early'ish wip files onto my usb drive. I'll get back to working on it when my comp arrives.
I'm really that I wont submit anything. Congrats and goodluck to everyone.
