In many games some of the main characters switch from good to evil depending on story, action, or just plain crazyness. So in the essence of the StarCraft Kerrigan I am going to first create my good General over at Cgchat. After I have the concept down I will hack and slash his or her ass apart and create my nazi, cyborge, crazy, baby killing general. The good general model will be done first, unwrapped, and rigged. Then I will take that model and change it to the evil general. Being most of the character will be unwrapped it will be minor flattening and then I can rig that character. Then it is just creating the skin. So I have some running around to do today but when I get back its to the wacom tablet.

    Old idea was crap, thinking of something else. Its great to get artists block right when you need it. A concept will come to me sooner or later here. Anyways I have decided to convert completely to the polycount side.

    I need some concept love. I am going to lock myself away tomorrow and do nothing but wacom myself to death. If anyone has some interesting ideas that might get my digital pencil moving shoot them out.

    Ok finally was able to pencil out a concept. Basically just a war loving 3 star general. The line around the 3 stars will be a tattoo indicating the area where rank is signified. The stars themselves won't be tattoos but cut aways from his flesh. I didn't draw the concept of the back but where his spinal column would be is going to be a tube of plasma. So the stars will glow with the plasma color. In his little pouch he just carries nothing but adrenaline. He lost his left forearm in some age old war. Doesn't really matter. So his arm was replaced by a alien arm or mechanical arm with blade fingers. Haven't really decided which yet. Also his eyes and mouth have been sewn shut as he does not need them any more. He likes night assassin missions and has found his eyes and mouth usesless. I will also have plasma light leaking from those areas.

    Ok fleshed the character out a bit. Still have to put all the detail into the pants and boots. Then I have to model the ear and the arms. Then just switch out the left forearm and add the small details.

    I don't really think you need any. You seem to be doing a great job right off. Proportions are fine, good polyflow... you got some brilliant techniques in there to conserve quads!
    I suppose if you want critique, I would like to state that I think his mouth looks funky, even though it's stitched up.

    Thanks Makkon. I was thinking the same thing about the mouth. I sense it might have something to do with the way the lower lip is jutting out to far with his jaw almost making a under bite effect. I will look into changing it.
