I like this idea. Sounds like fun to try even if it doesn't work well. Though, I would use one of those neato laser levels. They put out a straight laser light similar to what he's doing with the wine glass stem.

I just don't understand why he suggests putting the cam at a 15 degree angle. Wouldn't a 45 or 90 make more sense?
