Title - Terrain Modeler
Type - contract position
Starts - immediately
Duration - 6+ Months, with opportunities for future contracts
Time Commitment - to begin on this project, a minimum of 25 hours per week is required
Compensation - competitive, depending on experience
Software Required - 3DS Max 7
About This Position
Creation of environmental models and textures for next gen game using 3DS Max 7. High poly source models for normal maps. Final terrain will be mapped with normal, diffuse, and specular textures.
Requirements:
at least one shipped title in your resume
low poly and high poly modeling experience
experience with geometry-generated normal maps
experience with UV unwrapping
experience with texturing 3D models
familiarity with using multiple tileable materials to create final material
Desired Skills and Pluses:
familiarity with Unreal technology art pipeline
familiarity with ZBrush
Portfolio MUST Include:
realistic terrain modeling and texturing for real-time display
high and low poly models for normal mapping, emphasis on terrain modeling
demonstrate ability to model from concept, with strong ability to improvise appropriate details
Portfolio Plus: ZBrush knowledge
