As far as quality and appeal go, it seems rather half and half to me. Some Japanese covers look better, but some american ones look better.

I do like the japanese Psi-ops cover. But that Ghost recon one blows.

The J-Deus Ex cover is pretty awesome, too. Better than the Agent Genericho on the Am one. J-Ratchet n' Clank ones are pretty funny when compared to the Am ones. Har dee har har.

Ugh. I still remember how much of a piece of crap the Am version of the Guardian Heroes cover for the Satrun was.


Man, Am versions of J covers were so damn bad, long time ago. Ew.

Interesting PoP cover. That style is usually reserved for RPG's.

Japanese box art is hands down better. Always more class to it.

I'm pretty sure that Crimson Skies cover is used in Europe, too (minus the katakana over the name).

What I find pretty funny is the variations in covers between various platforms. E.g. the XBox Dead or Alive games have at best one of the male characters on them, often none at all (just a fiery background behind the title) while the PS2 version prominently features Kasumi on the cover. Same for Project: Zero, on the XB the cover features a screaming ghost in inverted black and white, on the PS2 it shows that girl you play.
