It's no joke. Last Thursday, President Bush signed into law a prohibition on posting annoying Web messages or sending annoying e-mail messages without disclosing your true identity.
In other words, it's OK to flame someone on a mailing list or in a blog as long as you do it under your real name. Thank Congress for small favors, I guess.

[/ QUOTE ]That's why they do it, they actually *want* to waste tax payers money and put the USA into more debt. Keeping you guys tied up 'petty' things like this means you don't notice the rug being pulled out from under you!!
Pretty lame congress, as well. Oye.
seriously though. software piracy is a federal crime too, but millions of people get away with it. I doubt this will be enforced.
Reminds me of Hitchhikers Guide, when Zaphod signs that bill without reading it. Bush seriously need to be outed. I even work for DOD, 90% of the people I know feel the same way.
woohooo.. that means I can flame the shit out of you because im not from the US, but you cant do anything back :P

No, it only works if he's annoying you anonymously.
Sitting behind anonymous nicknames has given us the ability to cowardly throw insults at those we've never met. There are few consequences.
In most places it is illegal to curse over the radio waves. This also applies to CB, HAM, walketalkies and all public bands. Cell Phones are basically radios. I remember paying some FCC like fee when I first got my first cell ('suppose to be a one time fee, now the bastards add it in every year). Even though your not suppose to listen in, and the signal is encoded you are still broadcasting. So they fall under the same rules.
