the Shambler is by far the best looking model. It will be interesting to see it textured. Looks like a promising mod, are you using quake4 engine for this?
As far as i understand its doom3 for the single player and q4 for MP.
I've seen these models over at d3world, they are looking good. some of the normalmaps look a little strange, like the zbrush artists got a little too eager at some places. But im not gonna whine until i see them with diffuse maps and the works. :P
edit: lighting on the levels needs a fair bit of work, and I think the soldiers arms are a bit short. but this will be so sweet if you pull it off right!
cheap man, its called quake remix. if someone made a remix of a song that was exactly the same as the original.. well it wouldnt BE a remix. It seems more like what quake 4 is to quake 2, not an exact copy. give em some creative license
I like the Demon a lot, and the ogre is kickass. But the shambler doesn't have the "no neck" look anymore, and I liked that a lot.
Also, the enforcer and the marine need some revising IMHO. Otherwise, I think you are doing a fantastic job! Makes me want to open up Zbrush and hack at my stuff.
Thanks for the comments... I'll pass em to ReplicA. And yes, its a remix, not an exact replica, nor was it ever intended to be. And in reality, we are building this on the id engine, so to play it, you would need to have purchased an engine from id. It would be different if we were doing it on a Non-id engine, as far as I'm concerned, would just be wrong and disrespectful.
We're working pretty steady to keep the idea of the game, and be faithful to it without making a replica. We're trying to get a Skinner / Texture artist on board as well as a mapper, but its been slow moving, so the project is in motion, just moving at a slower pace. But it wont be released until it gets to the quality level expected of its roots.
no problem. i actually had no negative comments about the animation. as it looked VERY quake 2 quality. I did'nt know if that is what you were going for.
i won a contest a while back with red eye motion capture, so I have 30 or so works from them as well. if you have a small budget you may want to try them for custom work if needed.

A question, have you ever played and completed Quake, back in the day? (read: NOT the 2000's)
A second question, does Todd Hollenshead appreciate a direct remake of Quake (which currently sells) on a different game?
And the third and final question, what about using DarkPlaces?
