An alternative to Painter? Too simple to be useful? A dog flavoured waffle?

    I remember that. I tried it back when it was free but it was still alpha or beta or something, not very stable and lacked fundamental features like undo steps.

    It has to compete with GIMP in any case.

    Hawken: the dollar is weak, actually. Both the Euro and the Pound are really strong compared to it, now. I'm not sure how it is for other currencies, but i imagine they're profiting from it as well.

    I've tried the free version of this, which was quite nice.
    The grow-brushes (planty stuff) mentioned on the website seem like they'd be usefull for textures, actually.
    And "it has to compete with GIMP" is a really, really funny phrase.
