he won againts himself in being an artist, that's what he won.
everybody can follow the rules of the game, but it doesn't mean you'll be coming up with sick work like KP here does. this is something special, imo.
I'm too critical to have any favs, but this painting (acrylic) turned out pretty much how I wanted it. (nipples have been edited to protect evil from entering into your brain)
Here are some of my old favs. I would post some REALLY old favs, but my cd drives arent working and i cant transfer nothing.
1999, When i first got into photoshop painting.
2003, based from a drawing I made being in a bar for the first time. I think it explained how much i hated being there. Twas an intersting process for me making this image, scanning original drawing and doing many different passes on it. Original reated at very high resolution too.
really tough but I got there in the end. I really wanted to include some the stuff I did for GTP in 2001, like my city map which took over 7 months to finish. Or my other 3d work. I guess it just isn't strong enough. And to be honest, I've got so much work in different genres on my website, it's hard to nail down any 3 as being my favorites.
This is my favorite work, even though it's one that I did 3 years ago in school.
I just realized that I haven't finished a character in nearly a year, so that will give me something to aim for this year.
Wow, Tohan, that stuff kicks ass! The first image there is just awesome... I love everything about it... great feeling of mass and volume, and the texture work is top-notch - any chance of seeing the flats?
Second image is great too, the mesh doesn't seem as interesting but the texture is executed impeccably.
As for the last guy, those are some cool expressions, but I think his teeth have too much lighting on them right now - try making the teeth and gums texture darker nearer the outer edges of the mouth, they need to look like they recede more, and not be quite so "glowing"
Hey tohan kim.
The first of your works looks great and would fit into halflife 2 no problem.
Second one is what im most interested in.
How did you get the shine on the helmet and those metal ribs on his side and front.
I'm trying to get an effect liek that but seem to be failing.
Can you show me all the maps you've got for the metal please?
The third guy looks pretty real but has a terrible lowpoly. outline.Give the top of his head soem more polygons.
Keep it up kim!

[Edit] killingpeople, what did you do in that last one? It says drawing and inking by 2 others. Did you do the fx & comp?
Nice stuff guys.

My muscle anatomy piece (please excuse the craptacular texturing)
edit: i suppose the different rhino pics might technically count as only one personal work, but you're still pushing it

Wow. I like that armor design. Reminds me of something from that neoTOKYO HL2 mod.

Something recent
something from a year ago
Always liked that Vuitton hawken, EQ I really like the holster chick very sessy, swampbug's red "bar" painting is right up my alley.
It's a treat seeing all these. more! more!
I've always loved this one. It was based on a girl that liked me at the time.
My latest, not done at all, but the latest render I have.
I just realized that I haven't finished a character in nearly a year, so that will give me something to aim for this year.
hawken- just a few. you've got a really neat website, I see the japanese influence. mmmm.. japanese girls are always good.
Prs-Phil- thanks man
