Hey quick question, I have some old models I would like to dust off and take into z-brush but there built in tris and not quads. Is there anyway to convert tris to quads? Im still searching on a way to do this properly but if anyone knows Id really appreciate it. Thanks a bunch and happy holidays!

PS: This should be built into max!
Failing that, use a mesh bomb with min and max set to 4, blow the model apart with 0 strength and then sweep select the lot, backspace out the interior edges and weld it back. Crazy I know, but it works.
Turn to mesh modifier set the minimum polys to 4.

There's a script that does exactly that. Search for "polybomb" on scriptspot.

It's ok to dig up an old thread if you have substantial information to add to the subject. This thread pops up when people are searching for this particular subject.
So, it is useful to others if you add relevant current information to an existing thread.
It is NOT helpful to dig up an old thread only to add a critique or praise comment, since the OP is no longer working on their original project, and a crit about it won't help anyone else.
Only post if you have information that will generally be helpful to others working on similar problems with current software/hardware.
