Working on an award winning Fantasy Series this is a fantastic opportunity for all the Wizards, Elves, Dwarves, Orcs and other ancient races. As a Character Artist your job is to model and texture next-gen fantasy characters ranging from humanoids to fantastic monsters.
Responsibilities:
Design, model and texture fantasy characters.
Work with designers and concept artist to create a visually stunning characters.
Assist in other areas of game art production.
Qualifications:
Talent, passion and creativity.
Mastery of 3D art packages, preferably Maya.
Excellent knowledge of anatomy of humans and animals. Eye for Detail. Ability to give characters the right 'screen presence'.
Experience with Z-Brush and normal mapping / shader materials pipelines is a big plus.
Create textures from scratch and from source material.
Good sense of color, scale and proportion. Work closely together with designers and concept artist.
Being able to work within technical constraints, in an organized fashion.
Accept and provide direction.
Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Character Setup experience is a plus.
Traditional character drawing skills and affinity to fantasy are a big plus.
