Halo 2D for free

For those who may be interested, I thought I would share this info. A group has created a 2D version of Halo and they are offering it for free. You should probably grab a copy before they get a CnD

Valve had an official 2d version of HL as a promo game, if MS wanted they could grab this and offer it for free on XBLive Arcade.

tried this about a year ago when it was still really early, hope it has turned out better

it "looks" cool but the play controll is seriously not fun, you can also just run straight thru the game without firing a shot

I like the pixel art, but man that is stiff gameplay. It's cool but not a good game.

MS shouldn't touch this with a bargepole. It's an insult to pixel art and that fantastic HL2 game.

it's true, sadly. I can recognize most of the Games Factory sprites (even explosions) and Counter-Strike sound effects. They also junked the game engine to it's limit making it look "realistic" to hog all your cpu as a resource demanding game, and it didn't take 256mb of ram either. Also there is little play range in your view, so it's annoying to have to get close to enemies. The sound mixing is horrible too, some effort could be better spent at using the Izzysoft DMC2 extension for everything.

I could probably pull a better game out of my bum with Klik & Play.

what is funny is that I read what all of you wrote, and even laughed. I had just as horrible an experience with this crappy game. and its true, you can just run through the game. MAN, thats funny.....LOOK a shiny object. *A.D.D. commands me.......
