can anyone point me to an alpha transparency material tutorial for 3dsmax, I knew darkhorizon had one but his website is currently down... I know it is a n00b thing but I never got around to using it THANKS
(12:31:10) b1ll: Just copy ur alpha, and save it on a single tga, Not in the alpha but as the texture itself
(12:31:48) b1ll: then in max, just choose it in the opacity (in the Blinn basic parameters, next to diffuse) and voila
(12:32:08) b1ll: make sure its set at "best" or simple in the viewport
(12:32:10) b1ll: then u win
haha thanks Vassago, your Christmas scene is amazing!
and heres the latkes with some texture goodness...
they are fried potato stuff and you eat them with applesauce and sour cream, quite delicious. I tried to add in some green pixels to represent parsley garnish, don't know how well it works though heh
