I'll be picking this one up and trying to not play it. Instead I plan to ween my wife off NintenDogs and onto Animal Crossing, that way I can play vicariously without the nasty side effects. After all I am still trying to kick my WoW addiction.
I'll be getting this one. Never played the original so I don't know what it's about, but I figure this is as good a way to find out. It better not be too addicting!
just bought my copy on ebay. Then I discover it's being shipped from hongkong or something. Oh well, next week. Next week.
Still have the last part of mission mode on mario cart DS to finish, then I will have extracted all "train based" entertainment from my DS. I wonder if the front screen changes or if I get some racing goodies from finishing the entire game at 3 stars.
I've spent a few play sessions with it now and find it to be really enjoyable. It's a streamlined version of the GCN version, for good and bad (I miss the NES games...). All the same, it's a reminder of why I think the DS is the best newer system on the market right now.
Soon as I I get my friend code and Top Pond up to a respectable level of quality, all visitors who bear fruit other than pears are welcome
I got this game today, and all I can say is that I'm very impressed. I've not seen the GameCube title of the same name so everything is very new and exciting to me! I love the way the landscape rolls, as if you were on some giant rolling pin!
I've only scraped the surface of this title, this becomes clear after the first 5 minutes because the huge amount of things to do.
Well, I've shelved nintendogs and mariocart for the next few months it seems :P
A DS forum would be cool. It seems like GD is flooded with DS game threads anyway.
AC will only get better with time Hawken. The framework Nintendo has set up will lead to you in the future having animals move in that have 'lived' for a long time in other people's villages and have all kinds of things to share with you.
It's a viral form of entertainment, very cool stuff.
I just bought the mario kart edition DS today. I want this game so much, but I don't think I can afford $40 on another game right now. Does anyone know of any good deals going on right now for DS games?
Make sure to stop by the Cafe down at the Museum tonight between 7:30pm and midnight. KK Slider is down there each weekend playing up some hot tunes you can get yer grubby mitts on!
Here's the list. You have to type them in if you want a copy of a bootleg. That's right, KK sticks it to the man.

Crazy isn't it? If you play legitly, as I most certainly do, it would take over 2 years to collect all the songs with one character. But I think ol' Ducko may be getting a fine little lass to move in with him sometime soon.
Oh great. Finally decided I would go ahead and blow the cash on this game, and it's sold out in every store. EBgames, walmart, circuit city, best buy. ARRGH!
AC Tip : If you want to test run any of the KK Slider songs, just make sure you have a full inventory when requesting a song from him Sat. nite. You'll get the full cutscene with credits then when he wants to hand u a bootleg he won't be able to. Simply then request another song and repeat.
Rick- I saw a coconut palm sprout at Nook's before I left tonight. He's probably closed by now where you are, but make sure to grab that the next time you see it. Coconuts make good bell, and some dudes like to eat them. XD

If it's anything like the GCN version, then I have some bad news for you...
