I was browing ebaygames.com and came agross this http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/257882.asp apparently it is all the megaman x games on one disc for ps2. Just wondering if anyone has played these and thinks they are good, megaman 3 on snes was my favourite game of the series so should I pick these up?
I thought they were ok. the problem with them by today's standards is that control, gameplay and feel-wise they fall smack in the middle between the archaic old NES MM's and the really slick new MM Zero's for the GBA. The Zero's look closest to the X's, but personally I'd rather play all four of the Zero's than any of the X's. Much harder and faster paced.
HOLY SHIT!
I played the X series on the SNES TO DEATH. I remember feeling so badass after beating Mega Man X w/o any armor (minus the boots as those were impossible to avoid) and w/o any heart upgrades.
The X series was the template for all mega man/zero games to follow. Probably the biggest step forward in how Mega Man games are played.
Absolutly they are good! Like Sage, I played Megaman X on SNES for hours and hours getting everything. I still whip out the SNES and play Megaman every now and then.
It took me forever until I figured out where the heart container was in Chill Penguin's stage... Some Club Nintendo magazine had half of the normal levels (i.e. no Sigma stages) in it and since I was a stupid child back then I used that extensively. Didn't cover the Penguin's stage, though.
oh the memeories of beating MMX six times in a row w/o losing a single life....actually, that's kinda sad now that i think of it....But the X series is what turned me into a megaman fan.

I LOVE MegaMan X.
the rest of the series felt more dependant on the mundane story and repetitive enemy ideas
i do miss megaman legends though. is there a ps2 version of that planned?
