I can just picture Rick coming into work monday morning looking like his avatar and then being blasted in the face with that bright coloured propaganda desktop!
KDR_11k: I'm probably not going to get that game, but for some reason I thought it looked cool with my preffered dark-nothing background. Weird enough, kids are going crazy for Shadow. He's a huge deal on Saturday morning cartoons, and my little brothers have that game on their Christmas list.
Slum: It was a drum and bass remix from internet radio, but after I took the screen, I knew it would be perfect for my bad-ass reputation.
Killingpeople,
First off thats a pretty funny background.
Second, I see a MoonBase Commader icon, I'm shocked! How did you find that game? I only know about it because I worked in the same building as the guy(s) that made it. Personally its one of my favorite games that litterly no one knows about. I always get blank stares when I mention it even to "gamers".
KDR: it's from the concept artist from raven, Paul Richards. shame on Pogonip for not linking it in his post, he's just trying to solicit some attention! :P
Vig, to say that you know the genuis behind moonbase commander is something worth bragging about. atari kicked ass with this game. it makes me laugh that i could only force myself to play 2 sessions totalling 2 hours worth of playtime with quake 4 and played moonbase commander something like 13 hours straight the first time playing it.
my friend ben introduced it to me, who heard of the game off of penny-arcade. i beat the game already and got extra maps that me and ben play with over the lan. it is such a good game, i'm very pleased to hear someone knows aobut it! i've been ranting and raving about it, but people don't seem too interested. this game is the real deal man. if you ever see your friends again, tell them that two bad dudes from arizona love their game.
gauss, it's the nacho dude or whatever. i someone pasted it in #md, and was love at first site.
Hmmm, guess I'm the only one with kids on my desktop. Unless maybe that's a kid squeezing out in pogonip's shot. Guess I'll be the first to congratulate pogonip!
They're damn cute (if I don't say so myself). We were visiting grandparents in Florida for the Thanksgiving break. Good times!
It looks like he is using Aero-XP, with the opacity set to 100%. Personally I stopped using the stardock stuff because they started charging for it, and it was a bit of a memory hog for something that should be included with XP.

What can I say (for the mess and the desktop).
I'll post my work wallpaper when I get in this morning.
cholden: I think you're now officially the only person to appreciate Shadow The Hedgehog

Just re-formatted so the desktop is normally more hectic.

http://www.autodestruct.com is the website. the Q4 hellchick images are in the 'concept' section.
kp: that's from Nacho Libre, right?
Vig: I haven't played it, but Tycho from PA was always going on about how awesome that game is.
Dukester doesn't like a messy desktop, but this computer will always have one it seems
also, gauss likes dukester's style. classy!
found this on the net and redid it in illustrator (since the original was sort of sloppy looking close up)

Wow, I couldn't have described it any better myself
and, yes it pretty much has been that way since 2001

my living room, and a coke slush, just to get in the christmas mood
Vassago, like the desktop. How are you controlling your dashboard scheme? I like the dark clean lines.
You guys are funny, it's always cool seeing artists' choices.
