Max 8 skinning bust in places?

I was wondering if anyone ahd encountered a bug where you can paint weights on certain bones?
I have a CS rig with extra roll bones. I can paint the weights for normla bones fine, but with the roll bones SOMETIMES SOME VERTS wont be painted. It looks like it only happens when the vert shares 2 roll bones.
