So after a great deal of searching and the like I picked up this tv.

Fortuneatley I have lots of time to try it out and return it if I don't like it. Even though I don't have HD tv, it's a nice tv for a few games I have.
My question is regarding the res. It's a 720p max. I thought that was pretty good, but that was knowing nothing about the Xbox 360's min. specs. Now I find out that 720p is minimum for games. I'm wondering if this new tv of mine is going to be a low end rig in a year or so. Was it a mistake not to go 1080i?

So basically, 1080i is better for still or slow moving images, while 720p is probably better suited for faster moving images (i.e. videogames). The truth is that both standards have their advantages and disadvantages, and next-gen gaming should look amazing on either. Hope that helps.
I really appreciate the info, thanks.
Thanks folks.
