for them, I'm thinking of making some sort of cat sculpture for my aunt, a boston terrier for my mom, some sort of decorative paper mache bowl for my other aunt and maybe some magic wand pens for my cousins.

Funny you should bring this up, as I was just thinking about this. Do you guys know what that machine is that can take 3d files and carve them out of foam? Woulden't it be cool to make action figuers like that?
I cant for the life of me remember what it's called though. I know engineers use them for pre-fabrication stuff.
