Too bad it's "Reel Time" hahaha. Hopefully someday soon we will see that level of effects in games. Who knows we might even see it on the 360 in a very watered down version in the distant future?
No way they can pull off that detail in realtime within the next year. I'm sure it's not even geometry based. Maybe in a few years, but the only realtime fluid systems i've seen dont account for detached liquid volumes, meaning it's more like a blob and soft body physics.
And 3 cores or not, the xbox 360 is still slower than my desktop, as obvious by comparing a few titles yesterday. Software accounts for a lot of it I know, but it's nothing special at this point, and will be eclipsed by the end of 2006 i'm sure.
I really am impressed to the core of my human existance. That water looks so incredibly real, I hope they use it in movies soon... lotr two towers could have done with it on the scene where the treemen flood that goblin / orc factory place
If you ever watched the 1966 Batman movie I think you will agree movie magic has come along way. Of course they where "trying" to be campy and cheesey... sure they where...
WOW!! seeing that great white footage makes me quite happy The movie based on the novel "MEG" is due out next years and seeing the helicopter attack scene in this gives me hopes that the one in the film will be 100x better.....i hope.....

i see lots of artifacts tho.
Those are realy nicely done.
That thing that went from liquid to fire was pretty interesting too.
Now they just need to make it real-time

Well isn't that Airtight games company working on making real-time liquid like that?
not movie quality just basic stuff
Their shark video makes me cringe though. Sharks are scary
Now they just need to make it real-time
