This is officially the last Bond videogame I ever made.
A Connery for pre-rendered use, followed by two in-game gals. I think I might owe SouL for some chunks of Eva's catsuit texture from before he left, and Dave N. on our team made her gun. All other work here is by moi. Can't show wires I'm afraid, since I can only show material that's allready out there, but If you want to see wires there's a video of me discussing the games development
here ( episode 3 ) SouL's Red Grant model is in this vid too.
Although I also like
episode 1 , since it features Sir Sean himself raving about his likeness ;-) The pre-rendered cinematic was done externally.
*edit* the embedded video player doesnt seem to work on my pc. odd.

i think we're done with bond for a while..
please start making some crazy shit and post
you rock.
do something with it!!!
i think the last one (she's the hottie! i'd do her for free!) is extremely well done, probably one of the best realism models i've seen, especially for this type of game art.
top notch.
Beautiful man, just beautiful.
As in Daz King? Or is there more Daz's than i think there would be?
Either way, that's some fantastic modelling work mate. I love the proportions you've gotten into the characters, very damn good.
for such awsomely nice things to show, I'll have the obligitory dig and say "the arms look like bendy tubes"
thanks for the comments chaps.

hehe cheers dude. No time like the present I guess to make it official. As far as my role as character lead on Bond goes, I've given notice to EA. Time for a change oh yes indeedy. Nothing solid as yet, but talking to a whole bunch of folks. Many thanks to all of you who've allready offered me gigs!!! ( or interviews I should say ) It's very much appreciated. As soon as the reel is done in the next couple weeks you'll all get it. Although as I've said to many, I really have my heart set on film cg and I'm not getting any younger here. Making games is just too technical. Most of the last game I made I spent with my head buried in text documents. I want to get back to the Art somehow. Watch this space, but right now, I just want to go and live in a tree for a bit......
Hope the fresh start works out, I doubt you will accept anything other than.
r.
Looking forward to see this demo reel of yours.

Next time don't be busy when I am in town so you can buy me drinks! =]
May i ask what kinda render setup you used for these?

motives: They're lit in mental ray with an HDR image and final gather. perhaps a light or two for shadows. A couple of sneaky closeups:
Still haven't gotten EoN to round out my collection though. X(
Kinda sad to hear that this'll be your last bond. I hope they can find another brit artist to continue in your footsteps. I can't imagine what a US made bond would look like. Eww. XP
My guess is that it is due to the different reference material used: Bond's color-theme looks a bit like the one you see in the movies of the time you got the reference from (which is due to limitations of color-films back than), while the bondgirls color-theme looks like the one of modern-day digital films.
But maybe it is just due to photosourcing of the bondgirls?
the brunette looks like natalie portman kinda, Is it supposed to be her?

Daz...?
As in Daz King?
[/ QUOTE ]Daz King is called Kingofdaveness here.
Los: no,the brunette is actually Maria Menounos.
If you liked 'Everything Or Nothing' malcolm, then this is pretty much in the same vein.
Thanks for all the words of encouragement guys.
he he, come and work at sworfish
I just saw your tarkin as well which is IMO even more awesome, love it. WOW. You're the first one I know that lets his models really look exactly like the people they're based on.
Sean Connery has a reason to love it. I take it the first gal is Klum with darker hair? Don't recognize the third one.
Those closeups are amaaazing.
