Well, I haven't started the house, but here's what's parked in my driveway...
384 tris and a 256x128 map (barely started, just flat colour at the moment) for the car.
I'm undecided as to have the driveway as open-plan, or keep the garage and build the house to the side, with a patio/barbeque area on the garage roof. Or maybe do something else entirely. Maybe I'll do two or three different houses.
The Morgan will always be parked outside, though...
Very nice choice dude. Funny I was looking at a mug today with a simular car on it and made me think of your plot, funny thing was there was a simular cottage behind, or thatched roof anyways.
house looks like an old country house that my friend lived in when I lived in Hertfordshire, UK Awesome scene! think you can get it textured by the 20th?
512x512, lots of little tiling textures and decal maps. No idea if it'd work in a game engine, I used 2-3 UV sets. This stuff definitely works on PS2 though
The 256x128 blank space up there was for detail on the thatch roof for binding and topping, but I ran out of time.
This is very sweet. I'll add it into the main image very soon, gotta take a nap now. Feel free to send me the updated version when you get around to it, I'll keep the challenge open until the last drips of data can be squeezed out of people.
Heh, I'm off to sleep soon too, but I'll push to finish it to my liking tomorrow, and fire it off to you then (Just realised I'll need to send you the .max, since I've got some Mix maps for decal textures set up, and the Obj won't have that, if it even saves more than 1 UV channel...
Damn MoP, that's tight! I'm lovin' it.
I think that the edges of the thatch roof would look a bit cooler if they have a transparency to them. Seeing as how the texture was tiled though, it's understandable
Great use of tiling with polys. The windows came out excellent, looks like you're really looking inside. I noticed the grungyness around the base of the house and the dreveway where it meets the stone wall, did you go with a decal like approach for this? Whatever you did it worked out real nice.
Rendered everything down to a single 512x512. I love Render-To-Texture. Obviously it's lost some pixel density, but the overall effect is pretty much the same.
Once again, didn't finish the textures, just added a little here and there. I should have probably done a spec map for the car.

MoP I love you!
We've got a +4 that's gonna be restored someday, and I've visited the assembly plant on a trip to the UK.
ok, enough babling
cool beans so far man!
Very simple, but the shape comes out perfect. Can't wait to see this done
Mesh all done (probably), 640 tris for the house and base, 384 for the car, comes to a nice total of 1024.
Hopefully I'll manage to get the textures done before Saturday night
Obviously not as good as I'd like, but it'll do, I think.
