Got ma little plot all marked out. 10x10m (4x5m squares). Think I'll model in Wings, assemble in blender. Yee-haww, time to fire up that cee-ment mixer.
768 tris so far. I think I'll put a few barrels, crates and maybe a hand-cart under those arches. I'll add a few alpha veggie planes too. And maybe a tattered standard flapping limply in the medieval breeze. OOhh and a moat, maybe with a drawbridge. I really need to randomise some of those 'puter strait edges too.
No time tonight to 'rough up' all those 90 degree corners, but I'll do that on the morrow. I've got about 80 polies left for vegitation and props. The planes between the drawbridge and posts will have alpha'd chains on.
Cutting my seams in Blender at the moment. This is a requirement before unwrapping the mesh with LSCM. Lots of little pieces to assemble into my 512 (*gulp*) square map. Lots of tiling to come.
Unwrapped *phew* and started sketching and blocking in textures. I could have done a lot better with the UV map layout, but I can't afford any more time on it.
