A new Battlefield 2: Special Forces movie is now available, showing off over three minutes from the elite combatants in the upcoming military shooter expansion.
Darkness! Nice video editing. Like previous trailers, it's nothing like actual multiplayer gameplay. So saying "100% ingame footage" is a bit misleading. But the map and new toys looks like it would be fun. Now if only we can get some more functional night time maps created without buying an expansion. The editor functional yet?
Adam- Naw, no objective mode. just clever editing. Think the point was just that they kind of wanted to make a little story instead of just random gameplay.
Gauss- I designed and built all the characters except for one. Some textures were tweaked by Chris Elliot, and some of the Kit peices are legacy BF2 stuff by a John Sanik. Ended up being about 6 armies\ 12 character types.
ElysiumGX- Its as ingame as it can be. Recorded off Battle recorder. But yea, most online games are rarely that organized. There is no night support in the editor, because we had to create a new rendering\lighting method for nighttime. Don't know what their plans are as far as editor updates.
Well, I also hope I can shoot people with the grappling hook gun thing. Perhaps ride in the back of a jeep and shoot someone with it, then drag them behind me.
