GRATS! and welcome to the family The company is just now starting to act like it should, these are good times for Atari I hope they last. I have been with Atari for 4 years and Atari has seen some tough times, hopefully those are in the past and we can get back to making good games.
Pogonip, most people under 18 give you a blank stare when you toss out the name Atari. Those who know the name, say stuff like "Atari!? like pac-man? Are they still around? Is pac man even for sale any more? Can you get me a AV adapter for my 2600"
thanks guys, Striff I am actually going to be a Production Assistant, its like an entry level Level Designer, which is what they'll be training me to be, I'll be working with their Level Designers building small "Challenge" levels for a xbox360 game, and then later working on a psp game (level design) eventually when i bust my ass and everything goes as planned i'll be an official level designer, it's one hell of an opportunity! (good pay and benefits)
Didnt todays Atari just buy the trademark from the guys that used to own it? I mean that Atari today doesnt really have anything to do with the old computers and consoles etc.
Anyway. Dont mean to rain on your parade.=)
Congrats on the Job Foe.
Palm - Infogrames bought all of Atari's IP including their name, and eventually decided to switch from 'Infogrames' to 'Atari' because only frenchies like Pior can properly say 'Infogrames.'
Foehammer, congrats on the gig. If you meet my old coder buddy Eric Best when you get there, tell him John Zero says hi. Sounds like things are looking up for Paradigm!
