Curious to see who else went to one of these showings. second time for me, but with some girl behind me screaming half the time and cramped seats I had trouble enjoying it. I prefer to go for the show not all the retarded comments and such which probably was the creation of some guy stoned.

Never been to the show myself, but i love the dvd version of it with Tim Curry. Good shtuff, man!

The Rocky Horror Show really needs to be seen 'live', as in a theatre performance. In these security conscious times we don't get to throw stuff onto the stage, but the audience participation is still enjoyable.

went to the campus art/theater department annual viewings last year and the year before. didnt get to this year. but the ones we did go to were really interesting. 90% of the audience knew all the participation lines and everything. was quite enjoyable.

Rocky Horror 'Audience Participation' clearly comes not from 'one stoned guy', but a rich oral tradition developed by midnight-movie audiences. Of course, it helps that there are gaps and pauses in the audio pacing that you could drive the '77 KISS tour convoy through -- just try watching in on DVD.

After 25 or so consecutive Saturday night viewings, the Eight Street Playhouse crowd must have just decided to fill in those gaps. Especially with the Criminologist's FUCKING NECK! (personal fave) Then they decided to dress up.

I watched the audience participation version of the DVD last night as trick-or-treaters came by. It was, admittedly, a little funny when someone standing on the doorstep would here "DO YOU DOUCHE?" or another line come screaming out of the stereo attached to the TV. =]
