My computer died a few weeks back so i decided to upgrade most my stuff. With the upgrades i got two envision flatscreens so that i would have both the moniters look the same. The new card is a 6200 with a DVI and a normal out port. So here is my problem. If i start up my comp with both the moniters pluged in my comp wont be able to see the dvi moniter. Now if i start it up with only the dvi pluged in then plug in the otherone once its in windows it can find the normal one. When i do it that way i cant do dual view, so i have to use horizontal span (crap).
I have tried all sorts of drivers, deleting the drivers then installing them with a fresh start, but no luck. So any ideas? I know that if i keep pluging and unplugging the one moniter i'm going to break one of the pins in it from wear and tear. Do you have this problem at your work where you have two of the same moniters? Or is this something that i need to call the company i got it from to get help with it?

Can't really help you, but you might try also posting this in cgsociety's(cgtalk) tech forum. They seem to know their shit.

    Good luck with it

Hmm, do you have a built in VGA card in the mobo? If so you might want to disable that if possible.

2nd, have you already gone into your display properties->settings tab and checkbox'ed the "Extend my windows desktop to this monitor" ?

Can't help you much after that cause I'm using a Radeon Card for my Dual monitors.
