This is my first time posting so rip me a new one. I have been going to dallas sketchgroup for soem time now so i figure i should post hehe. THis is chris the fudruckers hater.
I dig the head design so far besides the horns. They look really frail and weak, which isn't very demon-like. I'd beef them up a bit and make them more realistically shaped like a Jacob's Sheep:
As a general rule of character design I would say if you want a character to look sentinent (a deamon usually is) use eyes that point forward like human eyes do.
If you don't, your character will look very animal like and yours does look more like a deamon-horse right now.
By the way i am a cheapskate on my webhosting since i use my own i will just keep overwriting source pic so the pics at the top will always be up to date hehe
JK: Actually eyes pointing forward indicate a predator, an animal that is usually the prey will have the eyes on the side of its head to have a wider FOV. Demons are supposedly goat-like and goats are prey.
Update torso is starting to get there gonna play around with diff horn ideas after i get arms and legs modled also gonna get some more input on them on later today
While the muscle look in the right places and everything you have way too hard of edges going on here, the whole thing needs to be smoothed out and i would remove some edges where you have a bunch tight up next to each other it dosent look good. Need to work on making the stuff look more subtle and less obvious and then it will start to work well for you. Good example of this here: http://www.kolbyjukes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=319&sid=9dc356578167892cf5ebf24cc754ad82

also, a general rule of thumb is that you don't render on pure black or white.
If you don't, your character will look very animal like and yours does look more like a deamon-horse right now.
But maybe that is what you are aiming for
